SADC PPP Network
At their meeting of June 2010, at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the Ministers of Infrastructure of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) mandated the SADC Secretariat, working closely with SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (DFRC), to establish mechanisms for expanding use of Public Private Partnerships as an instrument for financing infrastructure development in the SADC region.
The Network
The SADC Public-Private Partnership Network (SADC3P) is a platform for exchange of information and experiences, and as a basis for capacity development in PPP in the public and private sectors as well as promoting harmonisation in PPP policy and regulatory frameworks in the region.
Resources
This section provides information on recent publications on public private partnerships which are relevant to the Southern African region, including case studies of selected countries in Southern Africa and outside.
Membership
The Network is now known as the SADC Public-Private Partnership Network (SADC 3P), and membership is open to all PPP practitioners in the SADC region in accordance with the agreed Mission Statement. By promoting PPP best practice, the SADC 3P would contribute to the strengthening of regional infrastructure and promote competitiveness of the SADC economy.
